Ms Sarah Charney (MSc, MA, BSc, PG Dip)

CBT Therapist and Psychotherapist

I am an experienced Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and accredited with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). Your journey towards healing and self-discovery will happen in a compassionate, self-accepting, and motivating environment. During our time together we will focus on identifying and changing entrenched ways of thinking, which are often learnt in childhood or through negative events that happen later in life. These unhelpful thinking patterns can cause intense emotional disturbance as well as unhelpful behaviours and unhelpful coping strategies. I trained in a clinical NHS setting and worked in a multidisciplinary team alongside psychologists, counsellors and psychiatrists. I hold two Master’s Degrees, one in Counselling Psychology and one in Human Resource Management (Occupational Psychology) and have experience working with adults in both private, NHS and workplace settings. My extensive background allows me to address a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties, from anxiety and depression to employee motivation and performance. I have also worked with both adults and teenagers (over 16), and I provide a safe and supportive space where insight, self-care and, most importantly, change and discovery can be achieved.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
