I am well versed and have spent many clinical hours working with individuals with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders prior to my licensure. In early 2012 I started in Applied Behavior Analysis. As my education and career progressed I gained thousands of valuable experience hours with trauma diagnoses, grief/loss, bipolar disorder, and symptoms related to systemic oppression. As a member and ally of the LGBTQIA+ community, I have always enjoyed providing a safe environment to share experiences of any/all romantic relationships between consenting adults. I also enjoy working with individuals within the polyamory/ENM community.

My current focus is on women who have been diagnosed with ADHD or suspect they may have ADHD. I can assist with psychoeducation, consultation, and offer referrals/resources for neurodevelopmental assessments. Of course I can also provide psychotherapy treatment for ADHD symptoms in addition to any comorbidities using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Techniques, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and TONS of psychoeducation. These interventions can be used for ADHD and any comorbid diagnosis including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders, and Learning Delays. Gender/cultural bias, lack of strong education/experience, and stereotypes of an ADHD diagnosis is still the norm for many providers unfortunately, which is why I have found this expertise (differential diagnoses of ADHD in women and ADHD in general) of value in my practice.

I also enjoy taking on men on as clients. Caring about Men’s Mental Health is more than a cute slogan- it takes a deep dive through barriers of societal/cultural expectations before the root of any of our issues can be addressed. This barrier is more obstructive for some men. I have enjoyed working with men and acute trauma, post-traumatic reactions, exploration of sexuality, exploration of masculinity/femininity, anxiety, ADHD, depression, and bipolar disorder. Women’s issues and issues related to gender identification are always safe in my therapy space.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
