Hello, I’m Laura, an integrative person-centred counsellor based in the North West of England. I'm a Registered member of BACP and I’m passionate about helping people challenge unseen patterns that quietly rule their lives.
From childhood, we unconsciously create belief systems to navigate the world. These beliefs, while once necessary, often become chains in adulthood, binding us to outdated ways of thinking and behaving. Most of the time, we don’t even realise it. You might feel like something is off and have a gnawing sense that things just aren’t as they should be. You know you want change, yet the path forward isn’t clear.
In our work together, we can shine a light on the roots of your discomfort. You’ll begin to see the origins of your thoughts and behaviours, untangling the knots that have tightened over time. We’ll confront the beliefs that no longer serve you and unlock the change you’ve been longing for.
Though I primarily practice person-centred counselling, I also integrate approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis (TA) when needed. What you bring to each session is what we will explore. Your experiences, your emotions—those will guide our journey, at your pace.
With a work history that includes Social Prescribing, careers and prison education and supporting parents of premature babies on neonatal wards as a Bliss volunteer I bring the experience of working with a wide range of individuals in a variety of settings. This has provided invaluable insights into the complexities of how we as humans react and cope with the multitude stressors that we can be faced with.
I work with a range of issues including Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Life Transitions, Relationships, Rumination, Social Anxiety, Confidence, Low Self-Esteem, Body Image, Personal Development, Women’s issues, Work Related issues, Loss, and Bereavement.
Choosing the right counsellor is crucial. It’s about feeling a connection, a sense of comfort in being vulnerable. In our first session, we’ll explore what brings you to counselling and work together to forge a path to self-discovery that feels right for you.
I am a Registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Ethical Framework.
I offer short and long-term sessions.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
