I am a Transpersonal Arts Counsellor with 3 years professional work experience, working with children through to adults. The transpersonal approach works beyond the the personal identity of an individual. It addresses all aspects of their being, spiritual, social, intellectual, emotional, physical and creative. It attempts to support and facilitate the spiritual psychology and quest for a sense of wholeness.

I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, coping with grief and loss, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence.

As a humanistic approach it encourages self-development, growth and responsibilities for the individual. Encouragement of this true self will in turn support someone to recognise their strength, creativity and choices.

I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. There are many ways this can be explored through talking but also through the use of Art. For children right through to adults there is a familiar overwhelming feeling of not being able to put events or feelings into words. Verbalising these parts to ourselves can seem like a minefield and this is when Art and creativity can be so incredibly healing. The creative process creates a platform for the individual, it is the only therapy that is able to make the internal visible and tangible. This externalising of the emotion enables it to be reflected on and worked with further. The creative and playful process helps to engage all the senses, supporting an individual to express, experience and communicate themselves. It offers a tool for anyone, there is such a vast source of materials and within them different techniques.
