Greetings I’m Bill,

I’m a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University with a MSW, clinical degree with a specialization on community mental health and substance abuse. I have also completed post masters level certificate programs on the treatment of trauma in children, adolescents and adults

I’m licensed in the state of Connecticut since 2001 as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2007. I’ve been licensed in the Territory of Guam as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2019. I was previously licensed as a Individual Marriage and Family Therapist in 2013-2014.

I’m a Social Worker currently employed with the Department of Defense in Guam where I’m assigned and live.

I’ve worked with military populations in Korea, Japan, and Guam. I’ve worked in outpatient, intensive outpatient and with veterans for approximately 18 years. I’ve worked for the prior 12 as a social work supervisor/Children’s services specialist with a state child protection agency I’ve been trained extensively in various treatment modalities although my primary go to is client centered therapy.

I believe I can be an asset to Better Help as I’m a talented counselor, a quick read and have an ability to put people at ease. I look forward to the opportunity to work with Better Help clients.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
