If you are looking for someone who is genuinely caring and does an amazing job at actively listening, then Sara is your person. I've worked with a couple of counselors that (to be honest) weren't great. I felt like I was just another client and they were using their "school-learned tools and tricks" which really bothered me. With Sara, I immediately took a liking to how gentle and curious she was in conversation; I appreciate how she would really try to follow my train of thought (not always easy) and ask good thought-provoking questions. I appreciate that she helped me work through family conflicts and what it looks like to heave healthy relationships and boundaries with family members that unfortunately aren't in healthy places. I know choosing a counselor / therapist is a very personal decision, but at least for me, Sara was extremely helpful and genuinely kind.

My name is Sara Mitchell, I am a fully licensed counselor in the state of Michigan with 9 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, coping with grief and loss, depression, self esteem, trauma, and confidence. I have a love for working with young adults and marriages, and have seen many positive changes happen in these relationships. I understand the struggles of introverts and highly sensitive individuals and could be a great match for individuals with these temperments. I am a Christian with masters level spiritual training and would be happy to integrate faith into counseling or simply be the peaceful presence your looking for in therapy. I understand creative types and would love to integrate your artwork, songs, and poems into our dialogue about growth and healing.

I hope that you find who you are looking for today. Thanks for taking the step of seeking out a counselor. I would be happy to assist you if you think we could be a match. Best of luck to you in your healing journey.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
