More about Danielle

  • 24 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCMHC

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH) and have worked with teen and adult clients and families in capacities that span from basic case management to residential treatment for the past two decades. I have extensive experience supporting clients who are working through addiction (including process addictions such as gaming/screen, gambling or sex addiction), parents in need of support/parenting skills (including behavior management training), and co-occurring mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADD/ADHD, and other clinical diagnoses. I also enjoy working with clients who have experienced trauma, anger management, adjustment disorders, and overcoming unhealthy experiences during childhood. I call these clients survivors.

I am not your best fit for personality disorders, domestic violence, or psychotic disorders in a Telemental Health platform. I am happy to help you find someone who is.

My approach to counseling is client-centered. This means the way you and I work to achieve your goals may be very different from the way I approach my work with another client. We will work together to achieve the outcomes you desire to live a more healthy fulfilling life. My work with clients is strength-based, but candid. My goal is to help you be happier, healthier, and more fulfilled. At times this means tackling choices and challenges that are barriers to you meeting those goals.

My work with clients is evidence-based. This means I utilize techniques and processes that are research-proven for clients working through concerns similar to yours. These techniques may come from a combination of counseling theories such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Person-Centered approaches.

I'm so grateful that you're considering me for your therapist. If you choose me as your counselor, our first step will be to complete an "informed consent intake." This is best done live via video but can also be done through messaging. Once you have chosen me as your counselor you can schedule our first "meeting" or let me know if you prefer to stick to messaging. I'm excited to learn more about how I can help you achieve your goals!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I have been in and out of counciling for 4 yrs now. I have used this site also on and off. I have had more good counseling than not. A few a did not click with. But overall it's been a huge blessing. Danielle has been one of the best. I even was hoping she had a practice I could see her face to face. She has provided great material. That was very useful. She has always respond in a timely manner. Has given me very thought provoking questions. She has been able to read me very well. Really target areas that need to be addressed. Thank you Danielle. You are caring and compassionate but also very honest. Which I greatly appreciate.

Danielle is a true godsend. I downloaded this app out of desperation and was matched up with her. She immediately dove right in to help me with my issues I was having both personally and with my loved ones. I went in with the thought that I would try it out for the free trial portion and that would be that. Danielle's guidance and understanding made me at peace during some really rough times and I am so grateful that I had her to talk to. She has a perfect balance to her about being there when you need her but also giving you your space if she feels you need one (almost like the perfect server: not too on top of you but you don't have to flag them down either! Haha) Like I said, she's a godsend and I'm glad to work with her.

I couldn't be more pleased with our sessions.
