Hi, I'm Stephanie, welcome to the first step in making a positive change. Reaching out takes courage and can be daunting but I am here to help you feel empowered and in control. Through my work I strive to help people overcome challenges in their lives and have a fair chance to be who they want to be by providing a respectful trusting environment to increase self-awareness, encourage self-confidence, and improve emotional wellbeing and mental health. I offer client-focused, confidential, empathetic, supportive and non judgemental integrative counselling sessions, adaptively tailored to suit individual needs.

I have worked with people of all ages who represent a wide range of gender, sexual, cultural and spiritual identities with varying concerns such as; emotional difficulties, bereavement & grief, stress, anxiety & depression, relationships (partner, family etc), work issues, identity, self-esteem & body image, OCD, health problems and more.

I have experience in working with SEN and SEMH C&YP adoptees and LAC in care who are neurodivergent/have neurodevelopmental conditions and experience a range of difficulties; executive functioning problems, behavioural and emotional control adversities, social communication challenges, SLCN, reflective learning & memory issues, fine and gross motor skills impediments, sensory sensitivities etc.

My aim is to create a safe space for people to reflect, explore and address their thoughts and feelings by supporting them to work through issues affecting their mood and wellbeing and at their pace, facilitating them in beginning to improve their everyday life through talking therapy, in which we can incorporate creative and artistic therapeutic techniques.

I work integratively in my practice so we can work together using the best approach for you. I will provide you with a safe space where you can feel heard and explore any difficulties and specific needs you may have, enabling you to discover and contemplate choices you can make to promote positive change within your life.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
