Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Shanni is a phenomenal therapist. She really understands where I’m coming from and the challenges I’m facing. She is patient and supportive, and has helped me through some very challenging times. I can’t thank her enough for all the support she has provided, and our weekly sessions continue to be of immense help to me! She is a consummate professional, who I’d highly recommend to everyone thinking of therapy. My only wish is that I’d started therapy with Shanni sooner!

I have found the sessions with my therapist very helpful. Being taken seriously and listened to helping me to move forward and take positive steps to address the issues I have wanted to address for a long time.

Shanni has been a comfort to me, we’ve only had two sessions but she lets me rant away about everything I need to and I know she writes it all down to grasp a better picture of how I’m feeling about that situation or about my feelings towards myself. She doesn’t judge me at all and she’s managed to make me laugh which is a miracle these days! She sets me tasks which help me gain a better picture on my own feelings about myself and I’ve noticed they’re quite negative right now, I hope I can start to feel better soon I’m sure Shanni will help me massively she has already :).

I have only had two sessions so far but I have appreciated her presence and support with encouraging ideas as well. Thank you.
