Hi!
Firstly, I'm so glad you are taking the time to read some therapists' profiles to find the right person to work with. This is a hugely important!
You need to feel able to trust and confide in your therapist, and have someone you get on with and that you feel really understands.
I'm Jess, and I have been a therapist in both a health-care setting and private practice for over 15 years. I have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, MA in Clinical Counselling, and a Diploma in CBT. My training has allowed me to develop skills from a number of different therapy approaches....
But what does that actually mean?
Well, ultimately, until I work with you to gain a better understanding of the problem, it's actually hard to say, because depending on what you are hoping to work on in therapy, sessions can be very different from person to person. It's my job to be able to adapt. Maybe you aren't even sure what you want from therapy at this stage, and that's also ok!
My hope is to be able to explore your troubles with you, and then I can offer some ideas to be able to work with those troubles, based on my training and experience.
Sometimes that can be straightforward, and sometimes time is needed to really understand what is going on, but that is what therapy is all about.
A health warning, therapy can be tough, and may involve or incur change, but if the status quo is not working for you, maybe change is needed, and working through that is what I am here to help with.
Whether or not you feel I am the right therapist for you, I send you my best wishes for the sessions.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
