Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Julie is truly an understanding and wise counselor. I highly recommend her for coping with trauma -- particularly "adult-children of an alcoholic" type trauma.

Julie is kind and caring. Even after I ended my subscription to Faithful Counseling the first time around, she still sent me messages letting me know I can reach out to her for help anytime. I appreciated that she took time to do that. She’s welcoming and understanding and really tries to find ways to help. I appreciate her. She’s been there in my desperate times of needs when I couldn’t turn to other counselors or heard nothing back from them (through services outside FaithfulCounseling). She was there. That’s so important and was so needed.

Julie is a master at the craft of enhancing the lives of people who seek out her help. I have previously written a glowing review of her and I really don't know where to begin, now, as I only feel happier than I did before. She is caring, compassionate, open minded and steady. She is a teacher, a leader and and a source of comfort even when things are uncomfortable. To say that she has helped me would be an understatement. I have learned invaluable lessons from her; lesson that I will review again and again. Thank you, Julie.

Julie has been a life saver during a very stressful time in my life. She actually listens, responds promptly and with great care (you choose the method of communication- phone/computer). It's great to find such an empathetic, qualified therapist (especially since I've struggled to find someone who truly listens and never judges). I highly recommend her -- she is the kind of therapist who actually makes a difference! Such a relief.

I signed up for a free trial at BetterHelp to deal with some ongoing grief, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and career related issues. I'm so happy to have been matched with Julie! Though I had been thinking of seeing a counselor for a while, appointment times never seemed to fit my schedule. I was hesitant about online therapy, but Julie has made the whole process so seamless and easy. She is extremely thoughtful in her responses is able to address a range of issues. Her responses are timely and she has helped me in just a few weeks to express my emotions more freely which has helped a lot of my anxiety and depression. I wasn't sure if I would stay a client after the free trial, but after our first few messages I signed up for a month. Now the month is complete and I feel much better in many ways, but will continue to use this service because I've found messaging Julie when needed is incredibly helpful.

Great listener, totally understanding as a person. Love her vibes!! She responds super quickly and always checks on me if I go sometime without communicating with her. I dont feel forced to be anyone except myself with her, which is cool :) Thanks Julie ! :)

Julie has helped me so much in such a short period of time. I came on not knowing if I'd stay after the trial or not, and I expected a lower level of therapy from whatever therapist I was matched with since it's just a trial, but she surprised me. She just listens and lets me talk my way through issues, but if she sees a problem in my logic she gently nudges me in the right direction or gives suggestions for me to try. I recommend BetterHelp.com to my friends, and if I know anyone who does sign up, I always recommend asking to be with Julie!
