Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Amy made me feel comfortable straight away upon our first online meeting. She speaks with confidence and listens with care all while maintaining a warm atmosphere. She replies quickly and I'm already starting to feel better because I've been properly listened too. Having a few sessions with Amy has already changed my perspective on things, she listens, sets goals, and supports me. I strongly recommend her as a therapist and she does an incredible job.

Reviewed July 2024

Amy is incredible, she listens intently to me with zero judgment and unravels what I tell her into simplified thought patterns. I was so nervous about getting therapy and how I would be judges, I feel none of that with her and trust her so much that I have told her things I wouldn’t even admit fully to myself and that’s really helped my experience. I’m so excited to continue working with her.

Amy is caring, supportive and friendly. I don't feel judged no matter how much I unload, only ever supported. I feel she believes in me and believes in change. Thank you.
