Colette is great, she has brought a very human and accessible form of therapy into my life. It has allowed me to accept personal flaws more kindly and enabled a rebuilding of my self-esteem.

Im so grateful that I came across Colette on Better Help. After participating in therapy on and off for a decade with many different therapists I finally feel as though therapy is working for me and I have Colette to thank for that.

I understand that reaching out for support can be a big step, but it's one that can lead to profound personal growth and positive change. Whether you are navigating a difficult situation or looking to enhance your well-being, I'm here to support you.

In person-centred counselling, the therapeutic relationship is important. My aim is to build a relationship with you where you feel fully heard, valued, and accepted. Whether you are facing specific challenges or seeking greater self-awareness, my role is to support you as you find the solutions which work for you by providing a warm, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement.

I hold an MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy, and a BSc in Psychology & Counselling from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. With additional certification in listening skills from COSCA, and in suicide intervention skills from Public Health Scotland.

My experience includes working as a student counsellor at the University of Glasgow, and providing online counselling through the Crisis Counselling charity in Scotland. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I supported staff and family members at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, offering listening services during a difficult time.

With over 400 client hours in private practice, I have worked with a diverse range of individuals, helping them to navigate life's challenges with care and understanding.

Please note, due to other commitments, I do not offer sessions on evenings or weekends. My current working schedule on BetterHelp is between 10am - 5pm Tuesday - Thursday, 10am-1pm on Friday (BST).

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Colette has been amazing at spotting what I needed from the sessions. She seems so dedicated to understand me, I feel grateful that she was designated as my therapist. I feel free and welcomed to talk about any subjects. I have explored thoughts that I believed were a dead end.

Colette is brilliant, very understanding and thoughtful, whilst also being lighthearted and humorous when appropriate
