Hello, and welcome. I am Kirsty, a Neurodivergent affirming counsellor. I am an accredited and credentialed Counsellor in the UK with 3 years of professional work experience. I am accredited with the NCPS and hold a BA (HONS) in Counselling. I am currently undertaking an MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, with an incorporation into Family issues. I strive to further my knowledge in all areas, and as such, regularly engage in Continuous Professional Development.

I have supported individuals in support-based roles for 16 years, and have provided counseling to my clients through charitable organisations, schools, universities, and private practice.

I have experience in helping clients with Neurodiversity, anxiety and Depression, Loss and bereavement, family and couples issues and conflict resolution, Identity, addiction, and more. I am able to work with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families. I am able to offer online, telephone, and digital text Therapy.

I have both lived and professional experience working with individuals who are Neurodivergent and work Integratively. This means that I am able to utilise therapeutic tools from a number of modalities and tailor the therapeutic approach to meet your specific needs.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, compassion, and empathy. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey and work with you in a way that meets your needs.

Working with you Integratively and Creatively means we will be able to incorporate creative therapy into our sessions if you are happy to, such as art, play therapy, nesting dolls, and more. This may also include CBT techniques, Transactional Analysis, Person Centred Talking Therapy, and many other strategies to support you with whatever you may bring within your Therapeutic journey. I look forward to hearing from you and hope that we can work together. Please do reach out, if you feel that I could be the right Counsellor for you.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
