I am licensed in Iowa with 3 years of professional work experience as a Mental Health therapist. Prior to my work as a therapist, I have experience working with behavioral issues, hospice, autism and inpatient psychiatric clients. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence.

The therapeutic relationship is very important to me as I believe that the space between us is where we can explore all the things that need to be explored. Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Jenna makes me feel very comfortable to talk to her about things that are bothering me. She has been great at listening and helping me with my emotions and feelings, and giving me new coping skills that help me with the struggles that I am having. I feel very confident in her knowledge. Sometimes it’s hard to think about where I was when I first started meeting with her and where I am now. It’s like the difference between night and day. I owe this change to her positive and supportive interactions.

Jenna does a great job of patiently listening to your issues, and helping you gain the tools to solve your own problems through providing thought-provoking insights that push you to confront your thoughts/feelings.

Reviewed April 2024

Jenna has been very insightful. She has been able to pull some things out of me that I did not realize. The best part about our first few sessions is she has given me permission to not feel guilty. To put it all aside and just focus on me. I have not been able to do that in years. I look forward to my weekly sessions with her. The time for myself and to visit with her gives me hope which is what I am needing right now.

Talking with Jenna is easy. I appreciate that she listens and responds compared to previous therapy sessions I've had where i felt like i just talked and got zero feedback from my therapist. She checks in here and there too besides just the appointment calls

Jenna has been so helpful at a time when I really needed someone to listen to me . She does an amazing job of walking that line between therepy and really making you feel like your talking to a friend. Her advice and suggestions have made a huge difference in how I was handling some issues, and everyone in my family is much happier.

Jenna is a great therapist and I like that she checks in a few times a week just to see how I’m doing.

Reviewed February 2024

Jenna is wonderful - I had no experience with therapy, so was very anxious about what to expect, how it might make me feel, hesitation with disclosing personal thoughts and info, etc. Within a few minutes of our session, Jenna had already made me feel completely comfortable, welcome, and safe. She's fantastic (with cool art!) and has night options, which could be very helpful for people whose life and work schedules don't line up with standard office hours.
