Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Jacqueline is very supportive and an excellent listener. I feel that she 'gets' me!

Reviewed June 2024

Jacqueline is a very sympathetic listener, non-judgemental and easy to open up to. I have appreciated the way she feeds back what she hears when I explain my feelings, and like her gentle guidance as to how I might move forward. This is my first experience of any kind of therapy and it is allowing me the space outside of the "noise" of family relationships to start to think about my own place within the dynamic. I would not hesitate in recommending Jacqueline.

I feel that Jacqueline asks good questions to prompt my thinking and has a strong professional career behind her to inform her knowledge on the matters we discuss in our sessions. Only recently started therapy and it was a straight click with Jacqueline. She is friendly and comforting yet very professional. I was worried about a call session as I get nervous talking to people on the phone but after 5 minutes I felt safe and I could open up to her easily. She is amazing!
