I feel like Charlotte is a warm embrace on a winter's night. We've only had a few sessions but I already appreciate how much she's helped me in coping with major life changes. She's also very open when I mention about my relationship problems and has helped me realized how walking away is sometimes the best help you can offer to the other person.

Hello and welcome. My name is Charlotte Ameigh (She/Her) I'm a UK based, BACP therapist specialising in integrative counselling. I support people struggling with issues that are getting in the way of them leading the life they want.
I think one of the many reasons I was drawn to talking therapies is because I want people to see that as human beings, we aren't flawed or broken. It's just that sometimes we get stuck and overwhelmed or we just can't see our way out of a situation. And this is why I believe talking therapies are such a powerful solution to many of the issues holding us back in our lives. Whether it's relationship issues, low confidence or self-esteem, anxiety, depression, bereavement or anger management. Therapy can help you find a way through.
At the heart of my practice, I follow a 'person-centred' approach to therapy. I see my role as simply providing you with a safe and positive space to grow and develop.
I studied Psychology at Lancashire University before heading into the world of education. I spent 20 years as a teacher, supporting young people in their learning and emotional education. Completing my MSc in Counselling and Positive Psychology allowed me to better understand the specific strategies needed to help people achieve emotional wellness. As well as being an accredited counsellor I also hold qualifications in teaching, hypnotherapy and NLP.
Thank you for being brave and taking this first step to wellness and I look forward to working together!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Going though such a stressful time in my life at the moment with so many transitions and big decisions to make, I couldn’t do it without Charlotte’s support. She has great insight and understanding of my family and my family’s needs. She is there for me in a way that encourages me making the better choices, to work on myself and provide the right support for presence for my children. I love how honest and clear she is, I trust her judgment and I am so grateful that I found a therapist that I can be myself with.
Currently feeling positive about the discussions had and they are proving helpful to move forward with.
Charlotte is the most gentle and kind person. Ive found it very easy to form both a personal connection with her as well as a very effective professional relationship, and should I come back to therapy in the future I will be looking to see her again for sure! Thank you Charlotte x
Charlotte has been a great support at a time when I really needed someone impartial to listen and help me understand what was happening in my life. I recommend therapy for almost anyone and I would certainly recommend Charlotte. She has a lovely, calm and measured approach. There was never any hint of judgement, only support and some particularly good advice that has probably changed the course of my life for the better (if that’s not too dramatic!) Charlotte has helped me to understand how I feel and also to better understand the people around me and think about their motivations and my own.
A lovely therapist always checking on me, session with her help me a lot. I would recommend a lot.

Charlotte just gets it. She is there, present empathetic, validating and empowering. She is natural like a friend you haven’t seen in a while but who remembers how you like your coffee . Speaking to her always makes a difference.
Charlotte has been a wonderful therapist who has helped me through a very difficult time. She is gentle and never makes you feel judged. She always tries to respond in a timely manner outside of our sessions. I highly recommend her if your are looking for a supportive and open-minded therapist that can gentle guide you through difficult times.
Charlotte is very caring and gentle. She shows you she has your best interest in mind at all times and is very compassionate. She creates a safe environment to share everything without judgement.
Charlotte is a lovely person exuding warmth and understanding. She makes me feel heard and understood and seems to know the sore points of a tough situation. I still have a long way to go but I have a good feeling Charlotte will be an excellent guide on my journey to better mental health
It's been great to have someone to speak to who is outside the family and can be objective. Also her experience brings up connections I had not thought of. So very helpful in moving forward. Thank you Charlotte.
Charlotte is kind and easy to talk too. She is professional and offers great advice. I would highly recommend her as a therapist.
