Hello,

Welcome to my page.

My name is Salma, and I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I would like to take a moment to share a bit about my academic background and professional experiences.

I hold a degree in Psychology and Criminology, which has provided me with a strong foundation to understand the complexities of human behaviour.

My journey in mental health began with various charitable organisations, where I dedicated myself to supporting individuals navigating mental health challenges.

Motivated by my passion for helping others, I pursued my masters where I completed my professional training in counselling and psychotherapy.

During my clinical training, I gained valuable experience working with the NHS in a general practice setting, supporting clients dealing with issues such as depression, grief, domestic violence, and anxiety.

Additionally, I spent three years working with a charity focused on assisting victims of human trafficking and modern slavery.

I firmly believe that each of us is on a unique journey, and at some point, we may experience feelings of emptiness, disconnection, loss, or numbness.

It is my heartfelt conviction that no one should have to face these challenges alone.

My goal is to provide a compassionate space where you can explore these feelings and gain deeper insights into yourself.

My therapeutic approach is primarily person-centred approach, placing your unique experiences and emotions at the forefront of our sessions. In my practice, I am committed to creating a supportive environment where you can express yourself freely, fostering both personal growth and healing.

If you're ready to embark on this journey together, I invite you to reach out. I am here to help you navigate your path

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

I have never done therapy before so I was a bit apprehensive about how it would go and what my therapist would be like. I feel so comfortable talking with Salma, she makes me look at a glass half full rather than half empty. She is a great listener and gives great advice and directions for when I may need them. I would highly recommend her and Betterhelp. Thank you

So understanding and really helps me think about the deeper meaning of my emotions and experiences. Couldn’t recommend her more!

I started this with an open mind. I wasn’t sure what to expect or if I would click with my first suggested therapist. But Salma is a beam of light and her calmness/calm voice guides me through each session. She leaves it completely up to me what we talk about. This is the first time I’ve felt this listened to. She has helped me make sense of a lot of things and is so approachable and respectful about everything. She really knows what she is talking about, specifically she has helped me to combat times of overthinking. I can really feel the duty of care she feels, I can’t recommend her enough!!

I am new to therapy and Salma, my therapist is so patient with me. She makes me feel heard and understood. I find it hard to open up straightaway but she gives me times and encourages me. She listens to me and understands me. She keeps mine note of everything that I say and when i am done speaking she refers backs to all the point, which is great that she picks up on little things. Honestly I love her and I feel good taking to her. Again, I’m still new so I am looking forward for more sessions and healing with her
