Jen has taken the time to get to know and built a trust with me. Which is important as it is a big issue in my Life and with relationships and it is majorly to do with childhood trauma that has surfaced. She has taken the time to be patient and make me comfortable. Jen gives me space to think and then reflection. She has helped me build self esteem which I had very little of which would make daily life hard with making the smallest decisions

Hi, I'm Jen! (she/her)

I am a queer, neurodivergent (ADHD), feminist, trauma informed therapist, but most importantly I’m human, and fully understand that being human can be a struggle at times. My experience is mostly within trauma and domestic abuse, as I have worked within refuges, so I understand how trauma/abuse can have a massive impact on people just surviving day to day. I can also help with lifting your depression, anxiety and setting boundaries/people pleasing to help you take control of your life, and make yourself a priority.

I have a warm relaxed approach which I use to build rapport, and to make you feel comfortable enough to share, explore, and work with what's going on within you. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment, where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment, and also feel seen, heard and valued.

I tailor every session to each client individually, making sure they suit your unique needs, depending on what your are going through and need in that moment. I believe that you are the expert of you, and that you have the strengths and answers within you that will assist you in overcoming the things that challenge you. Together we’ll celebrate your wins, learn from your experiences, and help empower you to make the changes that resonate with your true self.

Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take a lot courage, and you should be so proud of yourself for doing this! If you think we will be a good fit, I'm here to support and empower you when you're ready.

I look forward to hearing from you :)

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
