She is extremely attentive and I know I’m being listened to. She recalls information from past sessions and helps me put into words things I’m trying to say.

More about Martha

  • 18 years' experience
  • Female
  • LPC

I am licensed in Missouri with 18 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with coping with addictions, life changes, depression, anxiety, relationship issues and low self esteem. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey. My therapy style is to review events in our earlier lives to determine how those past events are affecting us currently, and are causing problems in our daily life. When these events, and coping skills are clearly identified, then the work to change those coping skills that are no longer serving us begins.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

She is great, really listens.

Reviewed July 2023

I have been blessed to pair up with a therapist who I truly trust and have a developed an openness to discuss anything. I have a background in counseling myself, she is great and caring.

Reviewed June 2023

I was super leery of using BetterHelp because of previous counseling and how long it takes you and a counselor to get to know each other. I felt that I needed help with my issues immediately. Martha hears me loud and clear and keeps me focused on my main issue while gaining background as it comes up. After my first session I instantly felt better just talking to her. She gave me some things to focus on at the end of my session and help me until we met again. Martha listens to me and is really there for me!
