Quick to respond with communications that dig into the core of an issue. This is great. This is the stuff, on my own I don't think about. She challenges my strong minded will with a manner that doesn't make me shut down or close up. That's a skill

More about Sunshine

  • 13 years' experience
  • Female
  • BACP

I am licensed in the UK with 10 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with coping with self harm, relationship issues, family conflicts, & trauma and abuse. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

I provide A space, A place, to take a journey and the destination is to BE.

As an Integral therapist, I introduce my clients to daily integral practice that brings balance and connection to the self, to that being they have been from the beginning. This helps clients to learn new coping strategies, embrace life and be fully alive. I know this style of therapy helps my clients to make sense of the many options available, provide ultimate flexibility and inclusiveness, so they can more fully and deeply honour their intentions and fulfil their true potential.

I am experienced in counselling adults, couples and families who are facing psychological illnesses and disorders. Throughout my clinical practice I have been able to obtain the skills needed to confidentially manage my own caseload, build strong relationships with various organisations and provide intervention that bring success and ultimate happiness to my clients.

As an autonomous therapist I believe; my clients are self-governing they know what is truly best. This coincides with BACP’s ethical framework for good practice.

Furthermore, I understand the importance of working with clients from different races and backgrounds. I feel that as more and more people of colour and different race embark upon providing psychologically therapies. It enables clients from all walks of life and colour to have their world fully understood and accepted.

I have continued to progress in my career, by successfully completing my initial training at Anglia Ruskin University and progress on to art and play therapy with the university of Cambridge. I am a school governor and devote much of my time to service in the community.

In closing, why did I choose this profession? Because hope can be felt and exchanged. I believe when one being helps another, both experience a deep sense of belonging and connectedness to the human family. This is hope, it is what binds us as people together across all countries and continents, it is what remains when all else fades away.

I can bring my wealth of knowledge and experience to provide a therapeutic service that is reliable, flexible and most importantly adaptable to various age groups and different races.

I invite my clients to get ready to train, your mind, open your heart and awaken to your true universal self. This is the purpose of integral psychotherapy.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, I look forward to hearing from you.

Sunshine is just like her name says it: Sunshine Goodfellow! With that name she have found her profession, or her profession found her. Those rays of sunlight get even into the most obscure places (oh, cliché alert :) and make the flowers grow!

A lot of time spent putting off admitting I needed a neutral perspective. Someone who was able to call me out on some of my belief systems - Sunshine has a way about her that makes the time the spent waiting seem a silly. What ever it is you're waiting for. Whatever is stopping you from trying. If the different angles you keep trying to see things from, still aren't changing anything. Speak to Sunshine. The fresh start will hopefully begin with that chat. "I'm not going to say it's going to be easy. I'm saying it's going to be worth it". A. L. Williams.

I joined BetterHelp when I was going through a separation phase with my partner. Sunshine was brilliant in guiding me to explore the underlying causes of my separation. The approach to exploring the past and how it informs the present helped to shape my understanding of myself. I will be forever grateful for the support she has provided though our sessions and the space provided and the check-ins throughout the week. The goals set at the end of each session always helped to focus on one aspect of my objectives at a time; to not feel overwhelmed. The sessions were always calm, open and inviting - it was easy to be open and talk and reflect on our sessions. I don’t think I could have made the progress I have, had it not been for the help I’ve had these last few months. Thank you!

Calm, collected and compassionate. Sunshine came to understand the thoughts, feelings and relationships I was having trouble with very quickly and was able to explain to me exactly what they mean and how they both arise and impact me. She’s handed me effective tools to understand myself and navigate these problems now and in the future as well as teaching me about how to form healthy attachments down the line. I would 100% recommend her help and expertise.
