Self worth lies at the heart of all our lives. Our feelings, thoughts and behaviours all stem from how we feel about ourselves and our world. By taking the time to invest in yourself with a skilled professional, counselling offers the opportunity to discover and develop your worth which can lead to a more fulfilling and authentic life. Often we suffer difficulties in our relationship with our feelings and emotions; we feel scared, vulnerable, anxious or overwhelmed, but by altering how we relate to our emotions they can become friends and begin to be useful guides on our journey through life.

Having needed help myself at various times throughout my life, I now feel deeply privileged to be able to call myself a helping person. I have been a supportive professional for four years now, and have witnessed incredible change and growth in my clients. I am delighted to be able to offer support to you today.

As a person-centered therapist I have seen time and again that when people feel safe and encouraged enough to be honest and accepting of their experiences they are able to heal and grow. As a qualified therapeutic counsellor and BACP member I have been honoured to serve as counsellor and therapist to a diverse range of clients experiencing a wide range of difficulties. I have offered guidance and support to individuals experiencing difficulties with emotional wellbeing, and serious physical health problems. I have counselled people experiencing grief and loss, and am proud to have supported members of the emergency services recovering from trauma. I have helped adults who have experienced abuse as well as facilitated behaviour change in males who identify as abusive.

I place client safety at the heart of everything I do, and abide by the BACP ethical framework and all relevant statutory laws.

As your counsellor, I believe the most effective intervention and treatment will be the one which best suits you and your own experiences. I will strive to form a robust therapeutic relationship with you, where we can share in the decisions underpinning your treatment and collaborate towards your own personal goals. I will always check in with you regularly to ensure your expectations are being met, and adjust my approach accordingly in line with your changing goals.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
