The three core conditions of therapy are at the heart of my practice - empathy, congruence and Unconditional Positive Regard. Support, genuineness and understanding. Without this, I don't think there is a foundation for the type of therapeutic rapport that is required for the client to get the most out of their experience.

It is my belief as a therapist that the client should feel like they are in control of the sessions and direction of their therapy. I am not directive in my approach so it won't be a case of me meeting with you and telling you to do this, that and the next thing. We will talk, think things over and ascertain whether there are ways for things to be done or thought about differently.

Ultimately, I want clients to not only feel like they are in control of their sessions but also their lives.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

great but still getting to know him

Reviewed July 2024

Craig's great, I really get the sense he brings himself fully to Therapy which makes it easier for me to do so, and it leads to a personal and very human experience quite far from the stereotypical idea of what therapy can be like. His approach really works for me, creating an theraputic relationship which feels authentic rather than formulaic in a way my previous experiences of therapy haven't quite managed to.

Reviewed July 2024

Craig creates a safe space for me to express the issues I face both day to day and long term and helps me to unpack them. He never tells me what to do but suggests research based ways for me to move forwards and make progress towards my personal goals. He is absolutely fantastic and I cannot recommend him enough.

I've been doing sessions with Craig for three weeks on BetterHelp, and even in this short time, I've seen significant improvements in my well-being. Craig has been incredibly empathetic and professional, making me feel comfortable from our very first session. Craig's ability to listen attentively and provide thoughtful feedback has been instrumental in helping me navigate my challenges. He creates a supportive environment where I feel understood and respected.. Additionally, Craig is very responsive and flexible, making it easy to connect through video sessions, phone calls, or messages. His dedication to my progress is evident, and it has been a great comfort knowing I have his support. I highly recommend Craig to anyone seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable therapist on BetterHelp. Even in a short time, he has made a meaningful impact on my journey.

Craig, He helpful, he understands your needs and points you in the right direction, has recommended videos and books to read which have been helpful. He got me back on the right track generally, but the main issue I came to him with is still a work in progress.

Pretty much exactly what you'd want from a therapist. Good listener and insightful and not afraid to challenge you on your way of thinking when you need it. Also seems to know when you are processing something during a session and will give you another example so you can hear something in a different context while your brain catches up!

Craig has been an absolute godsend for me. At a time when I was at a very low ebb he helped me identify where I needed to focus my attention and helped keep me on track towards a better, happier self. I would certainly recommend him. It feels like "he listens" should be the barest minimum requirement from a therapist but it is the phrase which comes to mind. Craig helped me to find my own truth, which was what I needed.

Craig is an open, easy to talk to therapist who has helped to make me feel heard. He provided useful information on how my ways of thinking can be changed (as well as the theory behind it) so have been using that to work through my self-esteem issues. Thank you Craig!

Reviewed September 2023

Craig is fantastic. I really feel like I’m being listened to. Offered honest, open advise and opinions. Even if it’s potentially something I wouldn’t want to hear, but definitely need to. I’m learning a lot about myself and I feel supported.

I would like to thank Craig for helping me to overcome the challenges and my emotions. Although I have only had 2 sessions, I have decided to share betterhelp with an old college friend of mine to help following the loss of her father last summer

Reviewed August 2023

Craig helped me gain a new perspective of the issues I was dealing with. He’s clearly a very intelligent therapist and helped me every step of the way. I strongly recommend Craig if your having relationship issues.

Reviewed July 2023

Craig is calm and understanding: he does tend to be over-cautious, in my view, in telling you some home truths but I guess that's a sensible approach when you're dealing with some fragile people!

Reviewed July 2023

So far, Craig has made me feel safe and relaxed to share my issue with him. He is really reassuring, taking something very subjective, and picking out the key points from my ramblings to identify the key points and finding practical ways to work through the issues. I have confidence that I will achieve my goals working with him.
