Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

She hasn’t been my therapist long, but her sweet and comforting demeanor makes it easy to discuss hard and gentle topics alike. She is very clear and direct and yet remains gentle and allows you to take the conversation in any direction your heart is willing. 10/10.
Lucy is an excellent therapist. I thought therapy would be a long slow process but thanks to Lucy’s personable approach, actionable insight and practical advice I made immediate progress. I would definitely recommend Lucy.
Lucy was very helpful and understanding. She looked at ways to help my medical condition and understood when I couldn’t do video consultations because of my medical condition. I would highly recommend Lucy and if I ever need to come back to the platform I would ask to be matched with her again. She is a lovely person and really helped me
So far Lucy has been nothing but understanding and empathetic for my situation. We have only had one session together so far so I can’t give a definitive answer yet on feedback with my experience but starting strong.
I came to Betterhelp to seek clarity and gain some strength to face certain problems in my life since multiple bereavements, and the consequences of those losses. Also to help me be a better parent to my special needs child. Lucy has been incredibly attentive. Her professionalism and awareness towards my situation and emotional state has aided me to find the clarity much needed. It’s like learning to breathe fresh air again. Lucy peels away the layers and finds the roots to your problems, and guides you to weed out those things that have prevented you to grow and blossom. I feel stronger in mind and in energy levels. I feel I have gained perspective and put into action the necessary steps to build a healthier life. She is teaching me to love myself and see self worth. To not be afraid to say no and to understand my abilities, that I have the tools in me to improve my life and my sons. To believe in myself. I have since faced the reality of some of the things that have pulled me back in life. Because of how mindful Lucy is. How she gently unfolds and reveals the truth behind what has held me down for so long. So I can’t thank her enough. Just having her accessible at anytime has also really helped me. As my time being a widowed parent to a special needs child is limited. Her flexibility has helped immensely. Lucy is someone who is not only professional as a therapist, but also passionate about her therapy. Which makes such a difference. Having had so many bad counselling experiences over the years. Lucy is a breath of fresh air
Really kind and supporting. Absolutely wonderful woman
