More about Brandie

  • 4 years' experience
  • Female
  • LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oklahoma who uses She/Her pronouns. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families with a range of concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, anger management, behavior management, PTSD/trauma, relationships, ADHD, parenting, and sexuality. I work from a culturally sensitive, LGBTQ+ confirming, and trauma-informed stance. I utilize current evidence based practices (EBP), meaning the skills and techniques you will learn are backed by science.

Therapy, for me, is about developing, practicing, and/or enhancing skills in order to live a more harmonious life. I plan to meet you where you are and work collaboratively to address each of your individual goals and/or family goals. I am passionate about providing psychoeducation throughout treatment because a lot of grace can come from a place of understanding.

It takes strength to seek a more fulfilling life. Once you are ready to take that first step, I am here to support and empower you. I cannot wait to meet you!

I am no longer taking new clients due to being in a doctoral program.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
