I am licensed in the UK with 12 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, & coping with grief and loss. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage and I am here to support you in that process.

I'm BACP accredited and I have an MSc Integrative counselling and psychotherapy from Derby University. This means that I am qualified in a variety of counselling styles, including humanistic or person-centred therapy, and CBT, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. We can work together to see what approach would suit you best, some people like to lead the sessions and decide what they want to focus on, and others prefer a more structured, cognitive and behavioural approach to developing healthier coping strategies. Whichever approach you prefer, I will guide you in the process and encourage you to reflect on and become aware of your inner strength, voice and emotional processing,

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I am really enjoying my sessions with Joanne so far. I find her very easy to talk to, very calming and very understanding. She makes me feel reassured while at the same time helping me to acknowledge what the causes of some of may issues may be and encourages me to self reflect. I have tried therapy before but never felt the will to stick with it until my sessions with Joanne. Highly recommend
