Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

She's the best!

Reviewed March 2023

I can wholeheartedly recommend Helen for anyone wishing, in general terms, to understand themselves more meaningfully in the contexts of their past and present lives, and, in specific terms,, to beneficially manage the day-to-day and longer-term challenges bound up with poor self-confidence, lack of motivation and impacted relationships. Helen has many qualities one would hope to find in an ideal therapist: she is a consummate professional and a compassionate human being. Helen is an excellent timekeeper: each session began within a few seconds of its scheduled start. She is also focussed and determined: on a few occasions there were technical issues with the app; she persevered through these and never once appeared ruffled. She is an attentive listener who asks pertinent questions; it became clear she wanted to develop a broad and detailed picture. She is knowledgeable about, and proactive in suggesting and evaluating, diverse therapeutic strategies. However, she is also quite flexible - always open to any insights I had and willing to try them out. Helen is encouraging and sympathetic in equal measure, as appropriate to the tenor of the conversation; she appeared tirelessly watchful for opportunities to remind me of the good and to justify (and never judge) my feelings. Helen is insightful and understanding: after only a few sessions it became obvious that her awareness of, and reflection upon, the trials of life extends far beyond her professional remit; she is a student of humanity and unquestionably a people's person. Helen is, above all, retrospectively mindful and future-oriented: she knew where I was coming from and where I wanted to go. And now, I'm happy to report, with her guidance I'm on the right track.
