Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Maria has been like a breath of fresh air blowing through the tangles in my mind. This is my last chance to make sense of where I am, why I'm here and being able to chose our live chats without having to see her has been so empowering. Maria gets me, she understands that I don't want to actually see her as I know I will revert back to people pleasing and only say what I think will make her like me. This has helped me be angry and sad and say what I have only thought before without trying to be pleasant and kind. I feel totally safe with Maria, she doesn't judge me but validates my feelings and I don't have to give a thought to her facial expressions and body language. She is so, so helping me and I think everyone should have a Maria to talk to, plus I feel she is someone I would love to have as a friend. Mind you as I say to her "I don't ever want to see your face", she usually makes me laugh and cheers my day.

This was my first time going into therapy and I was nervous that I would not find a therapist that I could connect to. I am so so lucky and grateful to have had Maria as my therapist! I instantly connected with Maria, I felt like she completely understood me as a person and my situation, and I trust her completely. She has been able to help me process and understand my situation and how I have been feeling. I am able to open up with no judgement and she has great ways and examples of how to cope with my emotions as it is clear she has extensive knowledge and expertise, and she has made me more aware of my patterns and how to deal with similar situations in the future. I couldn’t recommend Maria enough and thank you so much for your help!

Maria is for me the best Therapist. She understood always what I was thinking and why. She helped me see things in different perspectives and gave me advices to solve the problems on my own. She helped me to understand why it is important and okay to put myself first and also how to do it. I’m thankful that she was the first match I got on this app.
