Hi I'm Sal,

I have always had a wish to help others.

Having experienced how transformative counselling was for me years ago I became really passionate about wanting to offer other people the kind of care and acceptance I found to be so empowering.

As much as we might read about the importance of loving ourselves and not caring about others opinions its really hard to achieve on our own - to discover that freedom. I have helped many people become more at ease with themselves and others, in this world, and to have more fulfilling relationships.

Person centred theory holds the view that through experiencing that from another person we can overcome some of those negative beliefs that we have internalised from society or caregivers to discover our true potential as a freer more authentic person in the world.

Maybe you are trying to work out who you are or maybe you already know and feel clear about that but are trying to work out how to feel freer/more connected in relationships (work/family/romantic etc)

I am a qualified counselor and authenticity is important to me. I will be there alongside you in your explorations in a genuine way. At the heart of my way of practicing is relationships - our relationship with ourselves and/or others and how we can make these more fulfilling and less fearful.

I like to hang out in Queer and polyamorous spaces but I also enjoy supporting people who want a more conventional lifestyle.

I have worked in a diverse range of settings as a qualified person-centred counsellor.

After completing my professional counselling qualification that is accredited with National Counselling Society (Which is overseen by the PSA - Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care) I went on to engage in and successfully complete the rigorous BACP Accreditation process (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists is also overseen by PSA)

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
