Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I feel so lucky to have matched with Sally on BetterHelp. She listens closely and knows what questions to ask to help me evaluate my emotions and behaviors. I feel safe sharing all aspects of my life and she’s very patient when I need some time to articulate myself. I was worried that I would not be able to find the right therapist for me, but Sally was my first match and I’m very grateful to have found her.

I have had a few sessions with Sally now and I feel I am benefiting massively from having someone outside my personal life to talk through my problems and trauma with. I come away feeling heard and feeling I cope with the week better after having this time to just go over things and have someone ask sensitive questions to help me feel like I understand myself more. Sally is very good at being sensitive and supportive to my situations and understanding that it’s not straightforward or doesn’t need an answer or decision making straight away. That time is needed to heal some things and we are human we aren’t perfect so to be kinder to ourselves. Would recommend to anyone I’ve tried multiple charity’s and short term councillors nothing compares to the few sessions I have had this is definitely the right service and therapist for myself.
