Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I’ve only worked with Jocelyn for a few weeks but she has already helped me make leaps and bounds when it comes to identifying and managing my anxiety. She is always encouraging, kind, patient, and willing to listen with an open heart. She checks in on you and always offers additional resources outside of live sessions to help you get a grasp on what you’re currently working on. I began working with Jocelyn a little over a month ago. In that time, we have built a nice rapport and she is easy to talk to. She listens to what I have to say, follows up on my concerns and I can tell she is very present for me, not only during our sessions, but during the week when she checks in on me. I am looking forward to continuing the good work we have begun.

I have never been to therapy before but I wanted someone that would understand my personality. Jocelyn has taken the time to actively listen and be understanding throughout each of our sessions. I’ve struggled with mental health for the past 2 years and within a couple of months I finally feel understood and heard. Jocelyn has created a safe space that is non-judgement, warm, and open. She has also been able to create clear and achievable goals that I know I am about to obtain allowing me to feel accomplished daily. She takes the time to check on me throughout the week always creating reassurance that she is available and provides tools in case I may need them. I am truly grateful for starting this chapter of my life.

I have loved working with Jocelyn this far, I feel very comfortable speaking with her and always look forward to our next session. She’s extremely knowledgeable and so kind, she really does feel like a friend! I am happy to have her on my journey of self healing.

It hasn't been long since we started our work together, but so far it seems like Jocelyn is someone who is and will be really helpful to work with. Therapy is scary in some ways, and she's always made sure from the very beginning that I am comfortable with her, which is just so important when you're attempting to deal with the things that take you to seek help. Not only is she incredibly friendly and easy to be 'around', but it's also clear she knows what she's doing. I would very much recommend her as a counsellor based on my experience so far. Thanks again for everything Jocelyn.
