Hi there and WELCOME! I am glad you have reached out to Better Help! Your now are on a journey to dive deeper into enhancing your mental health and seeking more empowerment and optimisation. It is a brave decision to prioritize your mental health and ask for guidance, along the journey. I applaud you for taking this first step! I hope to always create a safe space here, with unconditional positive regard for all of my clients. I practice a variety of modalities, all facilitating to increase healing and well-being. I use a variety of techniques EFT, CBT, DBT and Narrative Therapy bringing in visualisations which can help re-code us on a cellular level. I believe in helping clients overcome generational trauma and find their life purpose while on this planet. I use techniques which get in touch with the subconscious mind and embed new effective patterns.
I can offer Christian Counseling if the client wants to incorporate the power of faith and prayer so that we can tap into that part of ourselves which can really experience miracles and life changes, stand upon God’s Word, as we see life is happening FOR us! I believe in focusing on all that is “ worthy of praise “ to heal us and accessing in practice the power of forgiveness through different exercises. I believe in the power of prayer and witnessed great miracles in my own personal life and many of my clients as we align with our core values. Faith can really give us enlightened eyes of the heart. A safe place to explore these areas, can be very helpful and healing.
Life can be complicated and messy sometimes, there are many areas which need exploring and unpacking to get to the bottom of things and get in the direction of achieving our core values. Therapy is a safe way of getting more understanding and helping to keep us more “ clean” so to speak, as we can safely explore our options and core beliefs. I come with no- judgement, empathy, humour and a kind heart, ready to listen. I help share resources which have been valuable to me along the journey. I have trained in many Solution Based therapies. I am really interested in treating trauma in a somatic way. I use an eclectic approach, integrating several techniques to fit the needs of the client.
I am passionate about helping people get better self-confidence to build stronger relationships. Communication can be tricky and I view it as an art form to be developed. Many times we get stuck in dysfunctional patterns learnt from our childhood, resorting to the drama triangle of either victim, persecutor, or rescuer. We will explore these patterns and work on boundary setting to come into healthier, more assertive pattens. I also am passionate about finding each one's personality type and exploring one’s strengths through the Myer-Briggs tools and preferences. We can explore how you get your energy, learn, make decisions and organise your life. Understanding these areas as well as the language of appreciation and conflict resolution styles can give me great insight into how your brain works. Also understanding your attachment style can be hugely valuable. Our subconscious mind can sabotage us, even when we don’t expect it , due to unconscious programming. The amygdala can mis-fire faulty warnings trying to protect us and we can feel disempowered. There are somatic techniques which can help regulate these faulty signals.
We can also explore if you are recovering from grief and loss how to deal with this process in a healthy way. Loss can also be more areas than death.
There is so much to explore together, thank you for considering sharing this journey with me! I am licensed in the UK and trained in America (I am an American living in the UK) with a Masters in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counselling, with 20 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, & parenting issues. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique learning style.
I trained in London with CTI coaching fundamentals course and conscious parenting course from America and I am very understanding of family struggles and being a parent of children on the autistic spectrum, lots of knowledge of how that can impact families, and offer resources around this area. I have worked on Better Help for going into my second year now and found it the most fulfilling work of my life! I believe the ripple effect of changing one life at a time is in a small way helping and changing this planet for the better. Please do get in touch, if we sound like a good match and my profile resonates with you, and the above areas are of interest to you. I really hope to hear from you soon !

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

She got me through one of the toughest times of my life. Only feel gratitude for her support. Thankyou.
She is wonderful!
I find that establishing trust with someone who not only listens but helps you work together through trauma is most important. I feel especially lucky to have found Cathleen and am grateful for all she has done. She cares so much for her patients and is always looking for the best way to help them.
She is amazing. I didn't trust therapists in general and did not expect it would heal me. I would recommend her anyone needing to heal themselves of inner fear, trauma, etc. I hope I'll heal more than now and the positive thoughts and mind will last longer. Thank you Cathleen!
Cathleen is so uplifting and encouraging ! I always come away from our sessions feeling heard, energized, and motivated. I look forward to therapy sessions because I know I’ll walk away feeling more prepared to face my challenges with a positive outlook.
Don’t even know where to start; Catheleen has absolutely changed my life and the way I see myself l, the world and my marriage. She is absolutely Godly gifted with the work she does as she gets to the roots of issues without even making it obvious. I have felt so cared for, loved and supported with her valuable experience, expertise and knowledge. If I had to recommend a therapist it would be this amazing woman of God who truly cares for the mental health and healing of other people. Couldn’t have made the progress I have done in my marriage in such a short time if it wasn’t for her constant support, guidance and expertise. Truly life changing experience! It has been such a gift of God meeting such an incredible human being.
What can I say about Lena. Simply amazing. A genuine and warm person who really cares and rallies for your success. She has given me a new lease on life and is ALWAYS available to offer insights and support and guidance. She is an amazing therapist and I would recommend her in a heartbeat!
Cathleen is a very compassionate and strong woman. As a therapist she has an open ear to my thoughts, concerns, and daily struggles. Her responses show that she is rich of experience and hence , sharing with her helped me very much on my healing process. Furthermore, we used some techniques to heal very traumatic experiences from the past, and it works! Thank you Cathleen for being here with us!
Cathleen is a very understanding, empathetic and skilled therapist. It has been a joy working with her for the past few months. She has reminded me of the skills I have, as well as teaching me many new ones, and has given me the confidence to use these going forward. Thank you for everything

Cathleen was so calm. Instantly I knew I could speak with her and confide. Without the fear of being judged. She was very very patient with my yapping away! Supported me with techniques I could use to ease my anxiety and not feel overwhelmed. Highlights recommend Cathleen.
I can honestly say that Cathleen is in a masterclass at what she does. I have never in my life felt that I have made such progress in my self-improvement in all my life. Cathleen is very easy to talk to, is a great listener, and genuinely cares about getting to the root of people’s problems, and giving them practical tools to deal with them. I couldn’t recommend Cathleen enough to anyone wishing to work with a therapist. Thank you Cathleen
