I am licensed as a psychotherapist in the UK with 9 years of professional work experience. My initial qualification and training was in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Since that time I have gone on to complete training a number of other associated therapies. These are often called 'third wave' therapies which have their roots in original CBT but have evolved to incorporate different elements, such as mindfulness and self-compassions. These different therapies share many processes but they allow me to provide a richer and more personalised therapy.
Of these CBT-realted therapies , I particularly enjoy working with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and have found that it offers clients a new perspective on their thoughts and feelings, along with the skills to make some meaningful and Lon-term changes in their lives.
I'm aware there's a lot 'therapy talk going on above! For you, the client, the important thing is however we work it is seamless and directed towards your life and what is uniquely important to you.
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, self esteem, and depression.
Whatever communication means you choose to access your therapy - video, phone, live chat or messaging - my aim is to create a space where you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible during what can be a particularly stressful time in your lives.
For some, therapy might be the first time they have opened up about what they are going through and it can feel like a big step into the unknown. Others may feel more confident in reaching out. Either way it is important you feel listened to and understood from the outset. Together we can then explore and make sense of what is going on for you in order to find the most-effective approach moving forwards
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
