I am a fully qualified counsellor and therapist, and a full member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP) and work to their ethical framework. I am a supervisor with The Forward Trust a UK nationwide organisation. I work with adults and teenagers.

I have worked in the voluntary sector for “Change, Grow & Live” and “The Forward Trust”, both nationwide organisations in the UK, supporting people with homelessness, addiction, and poor mental health. I have also worked in a community counselling setting with Ashford Counselling Service and Kent Counsellors in the UK

I offer On-line counselling in both Ramsgate Kent UK and English-speaking adults aged 18+

I work with a wide range of emotional and psychological health difficulties including, anxiety, depression, addiction, borderline and narcissistic personality issues, relationship and family problem’s, midlife crisis, divorce, bereavement and other forms of loss, low self-esteem, trauma related dissociation, Identity & sexual orientation & more...

Sessions are at my private practice in Ramsgate via Face to Face, Skype, Zoom or WhatsApp

I came into this work by way of personal and professional evolution and had to recognise and put right the legacy of my childhood experiences. Through my own personal therapy experience I developed and qualified as a counsellor /therapist. I laugh and curse and you will always know you are with a real human being!

I bring a rich life experience around family issues, stepfamilies, and modern eclectic family life, ‎giving me personal insight into the complex world of family dynamics. I worked extensively in the music business as a working musician/writer/producer and sound engineer for many years and understand creativity.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Mitchell is extremely professional and understanding. I don’t know what would have become of me by now if I hadn’t started therapy sessions with him. Thank you so much for everything

Reviewed September 2023

Mitchell was great! I really needed a third party perspective and he was fantastic in helping me look at problems from new angles, and helped me out of a cycle of negativity/depression I was in over some work issues. Thanks Mitchell for all your help!

Reviewed July 2023

Honest the best thing I have ever done for self improvement. No fluff or fuss. Just straight and honest feedback on how to make positive changes to my life. I would recommend a session with Mitchel as a must for anyone looking to get more out of life by sorting out your past.

Reviewed April 2023

I really liked Stephen and would even consider going back to him if I don’t connect with anyone else, and he even manage to establish my people pleasing tendencies in one session, but I just felt like I maybe need a bit more of a compassionate/tender approach in order to feel at ease. Clearly a very good therapist though, and like I said, I might come back in the future!!
