I am just starting sessions with Syeda and I am happy to say that I have found someone that I am excited to work with. Syeda is great during sessions! I feel comfortable in sharing what troubles me with her and she helps me push my thoughts to get a better understanding of what it is that I am really having trouble with, and how I can work on it in the future. I look forward to each session.

Hi, my name is Syeda,

I am an empathic and understanding individual. I am passionate about my profession as a counsellor. I have a qualification in a BA Honours degree in Humanistic counselling and I work as a person centred counsellor. I hold several years of counselling experience, and I genuinely love to support people whilst considering their individual needs.

I am aware it can be difficult to reach out for support especially for the first time due to any life challenges you may be going through. I am also aware of how important it is to feel listened to, valued and accepted with there being no pressure.

I offer you my honesty, empathy, acceptance, and respect in a safe and confidential warm space, where you can feel valued and free to be yourself. Also, encouraging you at your own pace, to find your voice, choice, self-identity, confidence building, self-expression, and autonomy. Clarity and direction and helping you to identify unhealthy learned behaviours too. Learning psycho education, emotional regulation, clarity on meaning making with life experiences. Also, learning new healthy positive coping skills to manage anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Feel free to message me in your own time.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Syeda has helped me through some really tough things, she listens with no judgement and makes sure you have tools to help yourself. I always lead the sessions and we talk about what I need to but without there being a pressure to talk about things I may not feel ready for yet. She is very knowledgeable and it shows in how she responds and can explain to you the reason behind your feelings and how you can help yourself. Its clear in our sessions that she wants to help and is a very easy person to trust. My confidence and self esteem have grown tremendously and she has made me value myself which I never thought I would. I am already a much happier, better person and my life is the best it has ever been and she has given me the tools to look after myself as well as someone I can confide in and taught me so much about myself and realise who I want to be. I cant thank her enough!

3 sessions in and I'm really questioning my world and who is in it, in a healthy and supported way. I appreciate more of those who do support me and I'm starting to identify and move on from those who do not. This is critical for me in finding my own happiness and self acceptance. Syeda has identified pivotal points in my life that have impacted me and we are working through those so I can recover. 10/10

Reviewed July 2023

I learned a lot from Syeda. She is kind, patient and compassionate. She allowed me to stand on my own feet by challenging me to trust in myself and my abilities whilst still giving me tools and making connections that I couldn't see. Often it was hard for me to articulate what was really going on, but she helped me to simplify it and most importantly, she validated my emotions and made sure that I know that whatever I am feeling is okay and to release judgment on myself. I have had many therapists in the past, but doing therapy with Syeda on BetterHelp felt like a breakthrough for me. She always listened intently to my thoughts and my needs and I could tell she really cared about what I had to say. She took into account my journey and topics from past sessions to help me reflect on my achievements as well as my individual path moving forward, pointing out what is most important to me. I left every session feeling more clear and more empowered. I would recommend Syeda to anyone, no matter if this is your first therapy or not. I am very grateful and proud the work we have done together.

Syeda has been nothing but kind and encouraging. I feel like I finally have a therapist who understands my concerns and validates my emotions. She is patient, but also knows when I might need a little push or a reminder. I can tell that she greatly cares for my well-being. She shares resources with me so I can work on my healing outside of therapy as well and have some more ways to understand what I'm going through. The communication is great. She always listens and wants me to feel heard and seen. I would recommend Syeda for anyone!
