I have a skill set for working with trauma and childhood abuse and childhood trauma. I also work with everyday anxiety and positive thinking, addictions, family issues and relationship difficulties.
I have a background in sen needs within a prison education and secondary education setting. I have worked as a counsellor in both those settings and have a background and specialisation in counselling with autistic spectrum.
I follow an integrative approach to helping people navigate their way through whatever difficulties they are facing. Integrative is using a number of counseling frameworks. I make use of CBT, Psychodynamic, mindfulness-based and person-centred therapy in a way that is appropriate to the individual needs of each client. I also like to use creative therapy which uses creative ways in which to help people feel at ease to explore the things they feel they need to.
I have a degree in Psychology and a diploma in therapeutic counselling, I have tutored counselling students online. I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and NCS (National counselling society) and follow their ethical framework. I am trained in online and telephone counselling and a member of ACTO (Association for Counselling and therapy online)
