Caroline is very caring and supportive, she even checks how I am doing between appointments, she always tries her best to help me and understand, even though I struggle with communication, she never makes me feel stupid and I feel like I can talk to her about anything, id recommend her to anyone but especially people like me, who struggle to open up to someone they don't know

More about Caroline

  • 5 years' experience

My name is Caroline and I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner working in Birmingham. I love working as a Counsellor and helping people when times are difficult and they may feel lost and alone. I have worked with a wide range of clients from all different walks of life & from different backgrounds suffering from conditions such as Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Agoraphobia, eating disorders, Trauma, abuse, suicidal ideation, self-harm, hoarding, anger, grief & with the LGBT communities to name just a few.

I trained as an Integrative Counsellor 4 years ago & I chose this path as I wanted to incorporate different modalities into my approach such as Psychodynamic therapies, humanistic therapies & cognitive behavioural therapies, as I believe that everyone is unique and to understand someone there is not one theory alone that can hold all of the answers. Whilst working with a client I am looking to promote healing and facilitate wholeness ensuring that a person’s mental, physical and emotional health is maximised so that they can reach their full potential. I work to support a client to create a healthy balance between their body and mind empowering the client to begin practising new behaviours, resolving their pain and setting new goals for a brighter future. I offer an empathic, safe and non-judgemental space so those in need can express themselves without the fear of being judged.

As a PWP I assess a range of psychological difficulties and then treat problems such as Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Agoraphobia, symptoms of OCD, Panic Disorder & sleep management. This treatment approach is very focused-based and so offers structure to clients that would prefer this type of therapy.
