Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I already have a therapist that I see monthyl but I contacted BetterHelp after going through a tough time to get temporary help on more of a regular weekly basis for a while and have the availability to send a message incase I felt really bad on certain days. I got connected with Michael and he came off very professionally with a great insight on my situation. He always responded quickly whenever it was possible to do so. He gave me a different perspective and approach to my issues and helped me get back on the right track and I am very grateful for that. I would very much recommend Michael as a therapist.

He’s a cool dude, really nice and understanding, extremely respectful of me and my identity as a trans person, and has been helpful in unraveling the dynamics of family, trauma, and identity, as well as helping me understand things from my partner’s perspective during arguments.
