I’ve been working with Craig for a few weeks now and it has helped me understand myself a lot better. I’m learning to accept where I am and the limitations of my capabilities. I’m looking forward to work with Craig on a regular basis and can recommend this to anyone who struggles with internal dialogues and the feeling of never be doing enough.

More about Craig

  • 30 years' experience
  • Male
  • BACP

Hello there, let me introduce myself, my name is Craig Limbert. I am a fully certified BACP counsellor and hold an advanced diploma in counselling. I work within an integrative approach of person centred and psychodynamic insights with an interest in Gestalt therapy. I have extensive experience of counselling a diverse range of individuals, as well as working in various mental health services within the NHS and Social Care for over 30 years.

Most deep issues are from our childhood, and I follow a ‘gestalt’ approach for you to connect again. Gestalt is a theory is a form of psychotherapy that focuses the client’s experiences in the present moment. We’ll work together in working through this process, for you to understand and heal and hopefully understand the trauma you have experienced.

My approach in working with you is always valuing your individuality, views, fears, hopes, and insights. Your goals and how we achieve these will form the basis of our joint contract together.

I have experience of counselling clients who have complex needs, these include for example clients with trauma, severe depression, anxiety and stress.

I have also worked with many clients of diverse backgrounds; this includes clients who identify themselves as being from the LGBTQIA+ community.

What all that means is, as a counsellor, my core values have always been about supporting people. We have all been affected by our life experiences, good or bad. I am passionate about working with you to gain an understanding of what you perceive to be your current concerns and assist you in exploring and identifying solutions. I enjoy working with people from all sexual orientations, genders and from varied cultural and spiritual backgrounds. Your goals and how we achieve these will form the basis of our joint contract together.

We know life can be challenging at times and we all at some point need a little help to work through our thoughts, feelings and emotions, I offer an open, supportive, and safe therapeutic environment for you to explore these.

I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes Craig

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Craig listens carefully, analyses and is able to understand very well the psychological situation and thought processes. Craig is my first experience of a therapist, and it’s been positive from the first sentence we exchanged. He has challenged me when necessary, allowed me time to think about his questions, built new understanding of my own relationships and most importantly has been a constructive human connection. I feel like he’s an old friend after only a few weeks. Of course I would highly recommend him to those who need him to be a challenging voice, pushing you to learn more about yourself and those around you.
