Mahalia is a very kind and thoughtful therapist who takes the time to remember and recognise patterns in myself that I cannot see because I’m standing too close to them. I find this a very helpful and supportive skill.

Sometimes we need space to feel heard, sometimes we need space to think and be present with ourselves. I am non-judgemental regardless of my own values and beliefs. As your therapist I will accept you for who you are and meet you with empathy. I will be with you in your chaos, in your binding and I will be patient with your process. With a person-centred approach I welcome people from all walks of life providing empathy, honesty, and unconditional positive regard.

My aim as a therapist is to provide a safe, accepting, non - judgemental therapeutic relationship in which I will help you explore and make sense of what you need to. I believe each person experiences different realities due to their perceptions of the world; I find this to be the beauty of uniqueness.

I have completed an undergraduate degree in psychology, a masters in Person-centred experiential counselling and psychotherapy practice and I am a current doctoral student in counselling psychology.

Mahalia has been brilliant so far as I'm going through a break up. I've messed up with my own actions and it was difficult to process them. Mahalia has allowed that processing to go ahead and I've already learnt a lot about myself in the 2 sessions together.

She’s been amazing. In the short time I’ve known her she’s been such a massive help

Reviewed January 2023

After a year of trying different methods, self-help books and therapists (even at private clinics) I felt such a strong relief working with Mahalia! I am amazed at how well she understands me and really offers the right input and guidance for me to think about. She asks questions that help me understand and process events despite how complex and long-ranging the situation is. While I think it takes some self-honesty of the patient too, Mahalia made it easy for me to be open about my thoughts and feelings, which should be hard as I am very repressed. Would recommend to family and friends without hesitation.
