I was in crisis in the beginning of this year. I was being turned away from every doctor and no therapist seemed to care about me, only if I had the right insurance. Someone recommended I check out this platform and with 4 hours I was matched with Kim. She immediately messaged me and MADE time in her schedule to fit me in ASAP so I could get the support I needed. Whenever I message her and ask her for advice or just need someone to be happy with me for the small victories, she is a.l.w.a.y.s. there.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with individuals, families and groups. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues and trauma. I believe in a holistic approach that supports a person in their physical, emotional, social and spiritual well-being.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. It is always my goal to be present with clients and without judgment in order to provide a safe space for healing. I also offer clients a psychological approach to healthy living utilizing cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and introducing clients to the importance of mindfulness and meditation.

It’s a truism in social work that you don’t change people’s behavior by telling them what to do; you change behavior by building relationships. I believe this is the foundation for therapeutic work and something that I thrive on doing while still maintaining the proper professional and ethical boundaries.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
