Ellen has provided such exceptional expertise, perspective, and teachings that has allowed me to grow and reach my personal goals. To say I'm thankful to have found her as a therapist would be an understatement. She approaches things with directness, but with a kindness that allows you to work through hard things. I highly recommend Ellen and am so appreciative of my time with her.

More about Ellen

  • 42 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCPC

I am licensed in the state of Montana to do mental health counseling and therapy, as well as a Certified Coach. I’ve been self-employed for over 30 years and have a wide range of experience. I particularly work with persons who experience anxiety, stress and depression - often as a result of family problems and frequently work issues! I’ve also worked with all branches of the military working with troops and family both in the USA and abroad.

My style of counseling tends to be more direct than passive. I believe in warmth, compassion and listening along with guidance and direction offered. I do not give advise; I am your mirror and help you see what you most want and need. Therapy is an individual journey, so the path we carve together is unique in it’s terrain, speed and outcome.

I look forward to meeting each client with an open mind and heart. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Ellen is the first therapist I’ve been with that didn’t treat me like an idiot. I never had to re-explain my feelings and our conversations never felt stagnant. She is very energetic and kind, and helped me find new perspectives to my concerns (which for an over-thinker is very impressive). Thanks Ellen❤️

Ellen has been an incredible asset for my personal development. She is up-front and honest and will respectfully tell you how it is instead of just telling you what you want to hear. She has helped me make huge strides in my relationships, career and personal development, and has given me tools to dive deeper into the areas of my personality and past that are holding me back. She is an excellent active listener, asking clarifying questions along the way, which makes you feel incredibly heard and understood in a way that is difficult to find these days. Would 10/10 recommend for anyone who is truly looking to grow and learn, and not just looking for someone to give them kind words and a pat on the back.
