More about Milissa

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor licensed in Nevada. I have worked with a variety of clients addressing a variety of issues for over 10 years. I started out working in addictions in both a outpatient and inpatient settings. When I moved to Nevada I transitioned to working with children in foster care or who are on the Autism Spectrum. I have worked with clients to address many issues including depression or anxiety, trauma, abuse, OCD, the impact of medical diagnosis on daily livings, Autism (or parenting a child on spectrum) as well as addiction.

My counseling style really depends on you, I do not believe in a "one size fits all" therapy and will normally incorporate aspects of many different treatment modalities. I believe the client is the one who does the work and I am here to guide and support. I pride myself on offering treatment without judgement. I am prior service military as well as a spouse of prior service military member so I am able to have a clear understanding of both sides. I support the LGBTQ+ community and have enjoyed working with clients from all backgrounds, nationalities and many religions.

I know that seeking help can be overwhelming, but I truly believe you are here for a reason. I tell all my clients I will work just as hard as you do. If you are ready let us work together to change your life for the better.

I look forward to meeting with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
