Hi there! My name is Candace Rose but you can call me Candy! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMHC) in Florida. I've currently been in the field/industry for 8 years. I graduated from The University of Central Florida in 2011 with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology. In 2015 I graduated from Barry University with a Masters of Science in Counseling. Throughout that time, I have worked in private practice in person and online. I specialize in working with individuals, teens, children, couples, and families. I’m trained in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), person center-therapy, play therapy, group therapy and Systematic Training for Effective Parenting Program (STEP). I specialize in working with clients who struggle from anxiety, depression, addiction, self-esteem, family conflict, behavioral issues, grief and loss.

In the therapy room I emphasize a non-judgmental, empathic, and active listening approach. I believe in a warm, fun, safe, collaborative style therapy. Rapport is HUGE when it comes to having the right therapist. I’m a firm believer if you don’t trust your therapist or believe they are genuine therapy won’t work! Finding the right therapist and working towards your goals is therapy 101. Therapy is work! Nothing changes if nothing changes!

When I’m not working with client’s I enjoy spending time with my amazing family and friends. I LOVE sports, going to the beach, and working out. I’m currently working towards opening my own practice. Cheers to a successful start!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
