More about Jayne

  • 4 years' experience
  • Female
  • NCPS

I am a Counsellor and Hypnotherapist working in Daventry and the surrounding villages, but also offer online therapy. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD in a professional and voluntary capacity for over forty years and have learnt a lot about the overwhelming challenges of daily life, and how this can also be affected by past trauma, sometimes without us realising.

My role as an Integrative Counsellor means I can offer a range of techniques but will always start with a Person-Centred approach to enable us to get to know each other and establish your individual needs. We may then include some other modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, hypnotherapy or Psychodynamic activities to aid your therapeutic journey. I believe that relaxation is key to helping to relieve many of the pressures you may be facing, and you might like to include some meditation to your treatment. We can discuss that during our sessions, should you wish to take up my service. Whatever route we take will be chosen by you - I am here to support you.

I know how hard it must have been to realise you need support to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours I want to reassure you that I offer a safe space to allow you to do that. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
