Sam is very understanding and patient. She always responds quickly if I message and often checks in to see how I’m doing between appointments.

Samantha was the kind soul that I needed to hear feedback from to affirm that who I am is whole and supported. It was very good for me to hear this and be affirmed even with my disability. Thank you Samantha. I hope to have more sessions in the future when I am more financially stable.

Thank you for visiting my profile, choosing a therapist is always a mix between luck and judgement. I am a firm believer that the therapeutic relationship is key and feeling comfortable with someone is a hugely important factor in feeling safe enough to share your lived experience.

As you can see, I am not a therapist who says they can support you with everything, I am reflective and limit my practice to clients I feel confident in my ability to support, either through personal experience or professional development.

Probably the most important, and kind of annoying thing to know about me before we start is that my voice sounds young on the phone. A gift and a curse!

My journey as a person, I spent my first 18 years of life being exposed to all but one adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) following that unstable childhood I gained personal experience of domestic abuse. When I escaped that nearing my 30's and following my own mental health challenges I wanted to train and learn how to help myself and others so I took the basic counselling skills courses. I went through a lot of my own processes and developed my counselling skills following the level 2 with a level 3 and then level 4 qualification that included placements allowing me to practice as a counsellor. I followed this up with a BSc In Psychology and Counselling and numerous ongoing CPD.

I now employed in an EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) offering short-term solution focused counselling for a wide range of issues that are interfering with work on the phone and occasionally by video.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

When Samantha reached out to me i was in a bit of a crisis with my relationship, state of mind and business worries and i needed someone impartial to turn to to help me through it. I felt she understodd where i was coming from very quickly and put me at ease. She responded very quickly with the original messages and during our first phone conversation i believe helped me massively. It was nice to hear an honest opinion of why things had got to where they were with family and business and whilst its hard she seemed so nice the whole time. :)
