I have felt extremely heard and understood having Akvile as my therapist. It has felt extremely reassuring having someone completely unbiased on your side when you are telling her about specific situstions you went through. She is easy to talk to and gave me really helpful advice and the skills that I needed. She was my first ever therapst and she could prove me wrong completely in thinking that going to therapy would be awkward. She also sent me modules to read through that helped me with specific sitiuations we came across during each session. I would strongly recomend her as your therapist.

Whatever the difficulty, dilemma, challenge, issue or sorrow, I believe you already took the first step towards healing and change by finding your way here. Counselling can help to process, make sense of and move past your struggles in a meaningful and empowering way.

I am experienced, fully insured, and DBS checked Integrative therapist, qualified with a First Class (BSc Hons) Counselling Degree.

My clinical experience (since 2019) includes providing culturally sensitive therapy to clients from diverse backgrounds. I have worked with individuals experiencing a range of psychological difficulties, including work related stress, identity crisis, childhood trauma, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, emotional/social isolation and suicidal ideation. I also have a keen interest and experience in developing and delivering mental health projects to vulnerable and marginalised communities.

My way of working involves building on the therapeutic relationship, trust and a collaborative dialogue with you, in aim to sensitively navigate through the labyrinth of experiences in your life and mind. I facilitate a non-judgmental environment and a confidential space to explore and validate your thoughts, feelings and emotions, while cultivating self-development and transformative growth. During the therapy process, you will engage in self-reflection and exploration, thereby enabling greater self-awareness to acknowledge and address difficult feelings, unhelpful thoughts and behaviour patterns that hold you back or keeping you stuck from moving forward. You will recognise the values and personal goals that are in line with your authentic self and will be able to apply these to unlock your full potential.

I work pluralistically, which means that I draw on different approaches and tailor the therapy to suit your individual needs. I believe that you are the expert of your life and encourage you to be an active participant in the decision-making process that shapes your therapy sessions. A collaborative dialogue enable us to identify your preferences and utilise any personal strengths and (cultural) resources you would consider helpful in meeting your aims and goals.

I look forward to hearing from you so we could begin!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

She is an extremly agile therapist that really listends and tries to adapt to each circumstance. She never judges and one feels safe. I had to quit my therapy several times due to obligations and financial matters but I liked the fact that I can alwaya come back and continue where I stopped with her. She never asked why I had to go but focuses on me getting better. She responds in the evenings too and is flexible to adapt the call to my needs which sometimes includes weekends. I highly recommend her.
