I’m Claire, a fully qualified and insured person-centred counsellor from London living in Lincolnshire.

I have worked with many clients successfully for 5 years with their depression, anxiety, chronic low mood, relationship problems and grief amongst other issues.

I’ve worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds and I provide a warm, empathic and non-judgemental environment for you to explore yourself and start to unlock your unique potential.

I use aspects from lots of different counselling modalities but my passion is using a person-centred framework. I strongly believe each client knows deep down what’s best for them once blocks in their lives have been brought into their awareness.

In addition to my degree and counselling qualifications I have a diploma in CBT so can also help you with some practical strategies to take away.

I look forward to meeting you. I understand that starting therapy can be daunting but I promise to provide you with a safe space for all your feelings.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

First time I had ever taken therapy and this was a huge step for me! One of the standout qualities of Claire is her exceptional listening skills. I never felt rushed or unheard during our sessions. Instead, I felt valued and understood, as though my experiences truly mattered. This active and empathetic listening fostered a strong sense of trust, which, in turn, enabled me to delve deeper into the issues I was facing.

We've only had a few sessions, but I've found Claire to be extremely empathetic, knowledgeable in different techniques of therapy, as well as in different fields of focus. She's personable, punctual, flexible, and welcoming. In our sessions, after getting to know me and what I need from therapy, she lets me determine the pace and tone of the session, but also has a lot of input and feedback to give, as well as a fresh perspective which is welcomed during this challenging time of my life. Thank you, Claire!

Ms Claire Austen has a very thorough insight on how to heal people, her responses are very timely and appropriate and addresses the issue with a lot of impact as it's not too high so it's very professional, her voice is very soothing and it definitely feels like she has the emotional capacity to relate to the pain of her clients and show concern and empathy. I have loved her approach and I could open and share the most sensitive topics without any hesitation although I was a bit hesitant at first but she seemed to be very smooth as this progressed by a day or two. She is so strong a support yet very soft. Thank you for your time and efforts, blessings to you Claire!
