I am an experienced integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, which means I’m able to draw on a range of approaches in our work together. I have experience of working with a diverse range of clients, bringing a wide variety of difficulties and I can offer you email support, telephone sessions or instant chat sessions to work on whatever it is your are bringing.

Sometimes some light email support and/or work on some practical resources, for a short period of time, is enough to get you to where you want to be. Other times, a longer period of working through the difficulties you are experiencing is needed and phone sessions or instant chat sessions are more appropriate. We can discuss what you need when you get in touch and decide on the best approach.

You might be seeking therapy now because you are facing a challenging time or have an immediate concern, that you want to work on. You might be having difficulties in your relationship, struggling at work or you may have recently experienced a loss, for example.

Or maybe you are seeking therapy because you’ve decided it’s time to work on deeper, more long standing difficulties in life - repeated relationship problems, friendship difficulties and family dynamics you find hard to navigate. It could be loneliness and isolation that brings you to seek therapy, or perhaps you are struggling to find meaning, for instance.

Whatever brings you to therapy, I aim to offer a warm and collaborative approach in our work together. Therapy can be tough because we can find ourselves facing what we do not want to face but know that we need to. Therapy is not simply about 'offloading' onto a therapist - whilst you may feel better temporarily if you do this, your difficulties will remain unresolved and follow you around until they are looked at and processed. That is the beauty of a therapist, rather than a friend, to work with professionally, yet personably, on the most difficult and pressing issues you face and in a way that facilitates meaningful change. It is through the process of truly facing our ourselves that, we can move forward and be free from the shackles of the past and unsatisfactory ways of living in the present.

If you have any questions, please do feel free to ask and I will come back to you.

*Please note that I aim to respond to messages within 24 hours on a week day. If you message me after 4pm on a Friday, I may not be able to respond until Monday.

NB: Whilst most difficulties can be effectively worked with online, sometimes more difficult or more long-standing concerns require further support in an offline, face to face setting. Where this is appropriate, I will do my best to signpost you to face to face services, so you can get the support you need.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
