Hello,
I’m Spencer, I have over fifteen years of experience working with individuals and groups in various capacities. I conduct my private practice in North West and South West London.
I provide an integrative humanistic approach (which means drawing from varied therapeutic approaches and interventions), striving for connectedness in the here and now. I meet you exactly where you are, open to the journey we take together on the path of therapy.
I’m a capable but not infallible guide, helping you to recover your own aliveness and to connect with the wisdom that has come from your life experience. I am willing to go to challenging places. I’ve worked hard to understand myself. I’ve come a long way and I consider myself to still be on the path of self-discovery.
In addition to my private counselling practice I work within the NHS, as well as charities supporting people with various difficulties, including schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder and autism. I have studied many personal development practices both east and west, ancient and modern, I have a decades long meditation practice and I lead regular weekly support groups, workshops and retreats focusing on self-awareness, authentic communication and awakening.
I work with any issue, a recent selection of topics clients have focused on include; anxiety, depression, anger, loss, social isolation, loneliness, grief, regret, trauma, sexual (childhood and adult), emotional and physical abuse, assault and rape, domestic violence, suicidal ideation, ADHD, addiction, family conflict and estrangement, modern slavery, borderline personality disorder, cultural and ethnic identity, intercultural partnership, low self-esteem, conflict avoidance and pleasing others, lack of intimacy, infidelity, bullying, helplessness, hopelessness and lack of meaning, perfectionism, life transitions.
If you’re interested in working together then send me a message.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Spencer

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Spencer is Brilliant, understanding, compassionate and supportive. Has been very helpful in my therapeutic process
The most understanding human I've met, able to grasp where I'm at and traverse some surprising distance in the little time we have in a given session. Sessions neither stagnate nor stay claustrophobically linear, but lively adapt whilst still building something cohesive. Simply impressive. Cannot recommend enough.
Great help, highly recommended.
Thank you so very much, as always you really get everything I say, which believe me, is extremely rare and refreshing. You provide so much understanding and speaking with you relieves so much pressure from my mind, thank you immensely.
